Each ESP32 CAN Device kit includes the fully assembled PCB with ESP32-S3 module, a CAN bus connector cable, USB-C programming cable, and a quick start guide. Additional accessories like enclosures and OBD-II adapters are available separately.

Yes! All of our hardware is 100% open source. You can find complete schematics, PCB layouts (KiCad format), bill of materials, and manufacturing files on our GitHub repository. You're free to use, modify, and manufacture the designs under the CERN Open Hardware License v2.

Firmware updates can be done via USB using our web-based flasher (no software installation required) or through the ESP-IDF/Arduino IDE. We also support OTA (over-the-air) updates via WiFi. Detailed instructions are available in our documentation.

Our devices support CAN 2.0A (11-bit identifiers) and CAN 2.0B (29-bit extended identifiers) at speeds from 25 kbps to 1 Mbps. The firmware includes support for common automotive protocols including OBD-II, J1939, and CANopen, with easy extensibility for custom protocols.

All J3Techs products come with a 1-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. We also offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee - if you're not happy with your purchase, contact us for a full refund. The warranty does not cover damage from improper use or modifications.

The device operates from 6V to 36V DC, making it compatible with most 12V and 24V vehicle systems. It can also be powered via USB-C (5V) for bench testing and development. The device includes reverse polarity protection and transient voltage suppression.
